If your recipes don't fit neatly into the standard category list, finding a specific one later can get harder as your recipe library grows. Custom Categories let you create your own labels so your recipes are grouped and organized in a way that actually matches how you work.
Where to Find Recipe Categories
Open any recipe and go to the Recipe Setup tab, then click the Recipe Category dropdown. You can also browse and select your custom categories directly from the recipe list on the left-hand side of your dashboard.
How to Use It
Open a recipe and go to Recipe Setup.
Click the Recipe Category dropdown.
Select the Custom Categories tab.
Click Add New Category and give it a name.
Select your new category to assign it to the recipe.
To make changes later, use the pencil icon next to a custom category to rename it, or the trash icon to delete it.
Once created, your custom category also appears in the recipe list on the left-hand side, so you can browse your recipes by that category going forward.
Why Custom Categories Matter
The standard categories won't always match how you think about your own product line. Custom Categories let you organize recipes by whatever grouping makes sense for your business, not just the generic defaults.
As your recipe list grows, finding a specific recipe by scrolling or guessing its standard category gets slower. A custom category makes it searchable and easier to locate at a glance.
There's no limit to how many custom categories you can create, so you can build out a system that matches your full product line.
You're not locked into your setup. Rename or delete a custom category any time your organization needs change.
