When several people share one Food Label Maker account, they don’t all need the same level of access. Someone who only needs to check a label shouldn’t be able to change a recipe or delete an ingredient by accident. Role-based access control lets you choose, module by module, whether each user can only view or can also make changes. That keeps your data accurate and gives everyone the access they need.
Role-based access control is available on the Enterprise plan.
Where to Find It
You can set each user’s access from the Manage Users page in your account.
How to Use It
Go to the Manage Users page.
Add the user you want to give access to.
For each module, choose the access level for this user:
View: the user can open and see content in that module but can’t add, edit or delete anything.
Edit: the user can add, edit and delete content in that module.
Save your changes.
Why Role-Based Access Control Matters
Protects your data from accidental changes. Users with view access can’t edit or delete your recipes, ingredients, formulations or labels, so your approved data stays as it is.
Gives each person the right level of access. You set access per module, so someone can edit in one area and only view in another.
Makes it easier to bring more people on board. You can add colleagues from other teams or locations without giving everyone full edit rights.
Supports accountability. Combined with Activity History, you can control who is able to make changes and see who changed what and when.
